Bob Molhoek
Founder and President
Bob launched Molhoek Media Group (MMG) in January of 2015 and conducts brand, marketing, sales and business development consulting. MMG has worked for clients and agencies including the NFL, the University of Wisconsin, SixSpeed and Delta Dental.
Prior to launching Molhoek Media Group, Bob helped define and build Olson, one of the five largest independent agencies and one of the fastest growing in the country. Bob joined Olson in 2001 as the 18th employee. Over the next 7 years he led business development efforts and helped fuel Olson’s growth to over 200 employees. In addition to business development, Bob was responsible for the overall strategic direction of the agency’s Nike Bauer Hockey, Detroit Pistons, Cleveland Cavaliers and Breathe Right accounts. Bob also consulted on clients including the Minnesota Wild, Target, Capital One and Fifth Third Bank.
In 2008, Bob left Olson to become Chief Executive Officer of a struggling technology start-up called Bite Tech. In four years, Bob helped raise nearly $25 million dollars and brokered strategic licensing, distribution and manufacturing agreements with two multi- billion companies, Under Armour, the hottest brand in sporting goods, and Patterson Dental, the largest dental distributor in North America. Bob sold Under Armour's performance mouthwear products to the top 10 sporting goods retailers in the United States and helped launch in Canada, Mexico, Europe, Japan and Australia.
Bob returned to Olson as Chief Marketing Officer in January 2012 to help the company re-ignite its business development and growth and manage key clients including Saucony and McDonald’s. Bob led the company to its best three years of new business growth, which helped fuel a $300 million acquisition by ICF International.
Bob is active in the startup community and was the founder and CEO of Wombo Sports and iMyne, two ventures that turned into expensive "MBA's."
Bob is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. He and his wife Kari currently reside in Edina, Minnesota with their four sons, William, Henry, Daniel and Andrew.
